Top Star C

What a week in Valencia! The horses are jumping fantastically. The star of the week is certainly Cottee.  Following recent wins at HOYs, Arena UK and Addington - Cottee and Laura are showing no signs of stopping. They started their Spanish trip with a win in the 1.40m two phase, and followed that with a win in the Small Grand Prix! Such a super boy! 

Laura and Cottee Make A Splash In Spain

After 13 years away from the iconic show, Laura Renwick has made a return to The Horse of The Year Show - and what a return it was! 
11 year old stallion Cottee stole the show with a win in the Evoke stakes in a competitive class. If Evers Girl also placed 2nd in the Welcome Stakes as did Marseille in the Dolomires Stable Cup!

Team Renwick could not be more proud of the youngsters climbing their way through the ranks. Consistent top placings aren't easy but Laura and her string of future stars have repeatedly dominated the ranks. 
NFS Top Gun, is one such horse. Not only did the pair synch the win in the competitive 7 and 8 year old final at Hickstead, they also finished top of the podium in the 7 year old final at Bolesworth and Chard.
Laura and stallion Top Star C have been additionally successful, securing top placings in age classes as well as Foxhunter classes - putting the pressure on some more experienced rides. 
Not to be outdone by the 7 year olds, the 6 year olds have also been making a splash on the showjumping scene. D-YONS YVON VHS Z, NFS Taluga and Opium VD Kruisslbrink took 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the Hickstead Derby Meeting, in an incredibly competitive class.
Laura and 8 Year old Marseille have been another unstoppable duo. Not only did they win the 4* Grand Prix at Bolesworth, they also took the win in the Grand Prix at the Suffolk show, with additional top placings at Hickstead, The Royal Norfolk and South of England. Is there nothing they can't do?
With HOY's just around the corner, we're super excited to see how Laura and this stellar string of young horses perform!

A summer of age class success!

Laura and Top Star C have taken France by storm, picking up FOUR wins in the 7 year old classes.

Top Star C (Big Star x Draco) has been making waves in his very first international trip to France. Owned by Ian and Sue Clark, this promising young horse jumped clear in 11/12 classes, across Gassin and Barbaste, in the south of France. 

Now Laura, Top Star C and the other members of team Renwick, are headed back to the UK for some well earned rest and relaxation, ahead of what's looking to be a very exciting season. What a pair!

Arkuga and James Smith were in spectacular form this afternoon, with a win in the 4* Diputación De Cadiz Grand Prix. 

Messi and James clinched the win in a tight jump off of 8 riders, finishing just ahead of of Karl Robins and Equine America G Camille HBF in second place.

Arkuga maintains his winning streak with a win at the Sunshine Tour

Our wonderful homebred Arkuga (Messi) wins the €100,000 3* Grand Prix today in Vilamoura so grateful to James Smith  for riding him so brilliantly these past few weeks having never sat on him before. He has already taken a win and 3rd in Ranking classes and placing another of the Grand Prixs. 
John and I are so incredibly proud to have bred such a fabulous horse out of our exceptional mare, Beluga, by the great Arko and he has given us so many of these moments being such a natural born winner but after finishing 2nd on two previous occasions with me in the 3* Grand Prixs in Vilamoura he finally has the win he deserves. Thanks so much to the team out here, Ciara Miller and Nikki Park, for taking such great care of him. Thanks to James for being the brilliant rider he is and thanks to my sponsors.

Laura is one of Britain's Leading Lady Riders.

Laura has graced international show jumping for over a decade. Based in Maldon, Essex with her husband, former show jumper John Renwick, and teenage son Jack.

Born in 1974, Laura has been involved with horses all her life, but it was on her return to show jumping following the birth of her son that Laura took the show jumping world by storm.

Laura is renowned for her training skills and her ability to pass on her invaluable knowledge to others.

Her expertise in producing yoiung horses, gradually over a period of time to compete at international level is renowned - Laura comments "The process is very much perceived as a marathon and not a sprint!".

Renowned for her competent yet fearless riding, Laura recently enjoyed immense success at Olympia - partnering the 8 year old Top Dollar VI, they were the sole combination to clear the 7ft. wall to head a particularly strong field in the Cayenne Puissance.

Laura has been an integral part of Britain's show jumping team over many years and is 100% committed to the sport she loves and sets her future goals high with ambitions of competing at the Tokyo 2020 and World Championship.

Arkuga victorious in the 3* Grand Prix in Vilamoura

Keep saying this but we are so grateful to Laura Mantel for not only riding our horses but winning on them! Today she won the 5 year old Championship at Bolesworth with Michelob (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando) the same final his full brother Labatt won last year and a few years ago his other full brother BINTANG won the 7 year old Championship! All British bred by the Bleekman family. Obviously some good genes there and I hope I recover well enough to ride these young stars. For those of your who don’t know I have had surgery on a broken pelvis and femur which I broke badly in a fall 6 weeks ago. It’s going to be long road to get back to where I was but with horses like this to inspire me I hope to be back in the saddle sooner rather than later. 
Also exciting for our home breeding programme NFS Gem Twister (Murkas Gen Twist x Burgaraaf) was 3rd in this final. None of this would be possible without the back bone of our team, John, who is the driving force behind all of us #teamrenwick thanks also the Beth Byfield Ciara Miller and James Ironton for looking after them all so well and to all the team at home 🙏🏻
