Our homebred chestnut gelding Cottee has been a real winner since day one. He's small in stature but has all the characteristics of a big horse! 

He ticks all the boxes you would want from a showjumper, he's careful, scopey, competitive and loves his job. He also has the perfect jumping technique. 
He has won may classes but notably he was 5, 6 and 7 year old champion in the Young Horse Finals in Vilamoura, he also spent most of 2021 as the Number 1 ranked 7 year old in the world.

Cottee

Team Renwick headed off to the sunny south of France for a gorgeous week of jumping in Gassin, Saint Tropez. Gold stars have to go to NFS Top Gun and NFS Taluga, these two horses managed to fly into 1st in their respective classes, being both consistent  and competitive. Marseille and Billy Barlow also jumped great, picking up some additional top ten placings. Way to go team Renwick! Lets hope we can bring some sun back to the UK.

Horses On Top Form in Saint Tropez

2026 began with a sunny few weeks at Al Shira'aa Horse Show in Abu Dhabi, Lauras first time at the show. Both Marseille and Top Star C put on a great performance with multiple top ten finishes. Once home it was time to get the youngsters back out. Numerous horses stepped up Suffolk Equestrian Centre and Bury Farm. Notably, Laura managed to place 1st, 3rd and 4th in the National B and C Championship Qualifier. Bring on the rest of 2026!

A Great Start to 2026

Laura is one of Britain's Leading Lady Riders.

Laura has graced international show jumping for over a decade. Based in Maldon, Essex with her husband, former show jumper John Renwick, and teenage son Jack.

Born in 1974, Laura has been involved with horses all her life, but it was on her return to show jumping following the birth of her son that Laura took the show jumping world by storm.

Laura is renowned for her training skills and her ability to pass on her invaluable knowledge to others.

Her expertise in producing yoiung horses, gradually over a period of time to compete at international level is renowned - Laura comments "The process is very much perceived as a marathon and not a sprint!".

Renowned for her competent yet fearless riding, Laura recently enjoyed immense success at Olympia - partnering the 8 year old Top Dollar VI, they were the sole combination to clear the 7ft. wall to head a particularly strong field in the Cayenne Puissance.

Laura has been an integral part of Britain's show jumping team over many years and is 100% committed to the sport she loves and sets her future goals high with ambitions of competing at the Tokyo 2020 and World Championship.

What a week in Valencia! The horses are jumping fantastically. The star of the week is certainly Cottee.  Following recent wins at HOYs, Arena UK and Addington - Cottee and Laura are showing no signs of stopping. They started their Spanish trip with a win in the 1.40m two phase, and followed that with a win in the Small Grand Prix! Such a super boy! 

Laura and Cottee Make A Splash In Spain

After 13 years away from the iconic show, Laura Renwick has made a return to The Horse of The Year Show - and what a return it was! 
11 year old stallion Cottee stole the show with a win in the Evoke stakes in a competitive class. If Evers Girl also placed 2nd in the Welcome Stakes as did Marseille in the Dolomires Stable Cup!

Team Renwick could not be more proud of the youngsters climbing their way through the ranks. Consistent top placings aren't easy but Laura and her string of future stars have repeatedly dominated the ranks. 
NFS Top Gun, is one such horse. Not only did the pair synch the win in the competitive 7 and 8 year old final at Hickstead, they also finished top of the podium in the 7 year old final at Bolesworth and Chard.
Laura and stallion Top Star C have been additionally successful, securing top placings in age classes as well as Foxhunter classes - putting the pressure on some more experienced rides. 
Not to be outdone by the 7 year olds, the 6 year olds have also been making a splash on the showjumping scene. D-YONS YVON VHS Z, NFS Taluga and Opium VD Kruisslbrink took 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the Hickstead Derby Meeting, in an incredibly competitive class.
Laura and 8 Year old Marseille have been another unstoppable duo. Not only did they win the 4* Grand Prix at Bolesworth, they also took the win in the Grand Prix at the Suffolk show, with additional top placings at Hickstead, The Royal Norfolk and South of England. Is there nothing they can't do?
With HOY's just around the corner, we're super excited to see how Laura and this stellar string of young horses perform!
